LED Retrofit Panels Are Taking Off
Approximately 10 days ago, we successfully completed the conversion of 82 pole mounted parking fixtures at Richport Ford, from their existing metal halide technology to our new LED retrofit panel technology. The finished product is outstanding in terms of light output and distribution and the owners are extremely happy that they’ve taken this step towards reducing their carbon footprint. And they are now saving over $2500.00 per month in energy and maintenance costs.
In the past week we have now finalized 4 more contracts to supply and install our LED retrofit panels into existing light fixtures. These contracts range from retrofitting pole mounted fixtures in the parking lot of a church to retrofitting wall pack lighting on the exterior walls of retail and hospitality establishments to ensure that their lighting provides a safe and secure environment for their customers.
The benefit of LED lighting is not only the reduced energy costs but also the fact that these fixtures will not require preventative maintenance for years to come. This means a well-lit environment at all times for your customers and staff and a favourable image for your business, and as we all know, Your Image is Your Brand!!

Like all good entrepreneurs, Chris Jordon is a survivor.
When circumstance forced him to reinvent his sign manufacturing career of a quarter century, Jordon turned his industry upside down and sideways to find a new niche. Last year, he started 1-888-Burnt-Out, a sign service company whose technicians show up in uniform, well-trained, and at times convenient to business even if that means starting work at 2: 30 a.m.
The last four or five months have been tough on Jordon's fledgling business.
"My business model of cleancut uniformed guys has certainly been well received," Jordon said. "What hasn't worked is it's been uncertain economic times. There's something going on out there. People just go 'I don't have the $500 to fix my sign right now.' People are holding on tight to their wallets. I would say small businesses are having a very uncertain time out there."
